This position is responsible for financial reporting, including preparing all SEC filings and internal reporting, maintenance of stock award programs, financial planning, and internal control maintenance and testing.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Prepare the monthly internal reporting package, including
Distribution of monthly departmental spending reports (budget vs. actual).
B/S, I/S and C/F statement for management.
Incorporate new operating areas/metrics into daily, weekly, and monthly internal reporting routines.
Draft SEC filings, including 10-Q and 10-K financials, footnotes and MD&A, coordinate the review and filing process.
Maintenance of Stock Award Programs
Enter/track all stock options, RSU and performance-based awards granted to employees and directors into the Equity Edge Online (?EEO?) system.
Generate reports from the EEO system and prepare stock-based compensation journal entry footnote disclosures.
Process all stock option exercises and RSU releases in the EEO system.
Help internal business partners develop budget inputs
Provide financial support to internal business partners so they have the financial information necessary to make sound decisions within their operations
Complete actual vs. plan analyses? and review such with internal business partners.
Assist in managing the documentation of the financial close and equity processes. For each process, assist in the completion of a:
Identification of key controls, and
Also, ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting and perform tests of controls within processes outside of financial close and equity.
Work with external auditors; establish timeframes, assist in resolution of issues, provide and distribute audit information internally as needed.
Perform related duties, special projects and other ad hoc requests as required
Must have an Accounting or Finance degree (Bachelor?s required; advanced degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience, holding progressively higher positions.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial disclosures, and the financial statement close process.
Extensive experience in the preparation and presentation of internal (financial) reporting.
Knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards.
Prior experience with internal control requirements (SOX), including a strong understanding of an effective and efficient internal control environment.
Must have current SEC and prior project management experience.
Proactive manager with proven track record of taking ownership to drive the financial reporting function.
Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast paced environment.
Excellent communicator, coupled with the ability to gain acceptance/change thinking in sensitive situations.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgement, be well organized, take initiative, be flexible, work well under pressure and produce accurate and timely work.
