Lytx is currently recruiting for a Human Capital Generalist who will be responsible for partnering with the Senior Vice President, Human Capital and the senior leadership team to build a market-leading, enduring company, with a culture of excellence, through its people. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong generalist background that includes experience shaping culture, developing and retaining talent, partnering with leaders to drive business strategy, leading change, and effectively communicating.
The Generalist will be a key member of the Human Capital team with leadership responsibility for a broad range of Human Capital activities including managing, planning, directing, and coordinating human capital management activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources, and maintain functional operations such as employee compensation, benefits, employee relations, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Human Capital Business Partner
Act as a trusted partner to business leaders by embedding corporate Human Capital strategy and providing professional Human Capital guidance and support to internal client groups with the objective of adding value to the business.
Contribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
Support managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function/business strategy.
Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders and employees when appropriate.
Human Capital Functions
Key member of the Human Capital team on a mission to build a world class Human Capital function.
Professionally manage the day-to-day Human Capital operations (e.g., the benefits programs, compensation programs, employee relations and employee inquiries).
Partner in the development of progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance.
Design, review and administer benefit programs that utilize an employee and company partnership focused on the health and welfare of the employees. This includes leading the annual open enrollment process.
Enhance and/or develop human resources policies and procedures associated with meeting the strategic and operational people issues of the organization.
Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Lead Human Capital initiatives and special projects by clarifying project objective; coordinating stakeholders, setting timetables and schedules; executing on action items.
Managing off-boarding process, employee changes of status, transfers for employees.
Monitor workers? compensation claims and unemployment claims.
Administer leaves of absence policy relying on substantive knowledge of leave laws and entitlements.
Manage confidential employee data, including company-wide organization charts, headcount reports, benefit elections, etc.
Understand employee opinions and anticipate their needs and concerns.
Global HR experience a plus.
Employee Communications and Change Planning
Work with SVP, Human Capital and senior leadership team to set overall communications strategy, create the tactical plan (including planning tools), and ensure successful execution
Plans, develops, implements and evaluates internal communication programs. Takes complex information and develops communications that are compelling and appropriate for implementation
Identifies new ways to effectively reach employees and develops effective communications on wide-ranging topics that convey consistent key company messages tied to company/business goals.
Develop change plans that not only include stakeholder analysis and communication strategies but also effective implementation strategies. Execute on the implementation strategies.
Trusted Presence and Caretaker
Be the caretaker and enforcer of the Lytx DNA with particular emphasis on ethics, integrity and diversity.
Create an open communications environment where employees desire to approach Human Capital as a first step in any employee-related matter (e.g., issues, career pursuits, management concerns, etc.)
Requirements, Qualifications and Competencies
Possess the experience, skill and sound judgment to lead and manage with limited oversight
Substantial business acumen
Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between HR and business strategy
Ability to develop clear, actionable steps in support of an overall business strategy
Ability to identify new ways for HR to support the business strategy
Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people at all levels in the organization
Possess an energetic, positive and innovative attitude with high ethical standards and integrity
Ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
Possess a strategic focus as well as an operational and detail oriented perspective.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to present on complex topics to employee groups, management at all levels of the company.
Strong understanding of Human Capital processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementation.
Familiarity with federal and California employment laws and know when to seek assistance when necessary
Skilled at handling employee relations matters.
Ability to independently execute on implementation strategies.
Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and make timely decisions.
Possess strong work flow management and prioritization skills.
Must be well versed in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Experience with ADP, Silk Road, SharePoint or Halogen is a big plus
Education & Experience
Bachelor?s degree in business administration, Human Resources management, or related discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience required. Master?s degree preferred, but not required.
5 or more years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
PHR or SPHR preferred, but not required.
