This position is responsible for establishing, administering and communicating various human resources procedures for Smaato Inc in the US.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates recruitment and placement of employment advertising.
Interviews, assesses qualifications and skills.
Develops short and long-range strategic plans for effective recruitment, development and staff utilization.
Conducts new-employee orientations.
Develops programs to meet staff training requirements in the areas of management development, skills training, on-the-job training and employee orientation.
Assists in the internal resolution of employee grievances.
Responsible for regional HR Controlling and KPI reporting
Monitors performance evaluations.
Represents the company on any unemployment claims.
Responsible for labor relations, provides advice on personnel issues.
Develops, recommends, implements and monitors personnel policies and procedures.
Directs benefits administration, enrollment and open enrollment changes.
Maintains department records.
Directly supervises one employee in the Administration Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Will report to Head of Human Resources.
At least three years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in Software or Media domains.
Strong people skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team and across other functional areas.
Strong conflict resolution/coaching and counseling experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in an international work environment desirable.
