Manager, Information Technology Linden Lab

The IT Manager develops, organizes and manages IT staff to help ensure achievement of Linden Lab?s organizational goals and objectives. The IT Manager will keep a pulse on the latest technology developments and recommend innovative strategies to help staff effectively support Linden Lab. Qualified individuals will have experience managing help desk systems and third party relationships.
? Actively lead complex technical projects from design through deployment and maintenance.
? Identify and recommend information system enhancements that will improve business and support future business needs.
? Manage IT staff and contribute as a Tier 2 resource.
? Establish and maintain relationships with outsourced vendors for critical business process systems.
? Administer infrastructure such as DNS, SMTP, system deployment, LDAP, Kerberos and Google Apps.
? Manage IT department budget including forecasting and auditing.
? Track and monitor all office network security and connectivity.
? Supervise the purchasing, inventorying, and distribution of hardware and software systems.
? Interface with legal and security to protect data and IT assets.
? Act as a technical liaison for company employees with a hands-on and customer oriented approach.
? Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency.
? Other duties may be assigned.

? Expert knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems (Mac, Windows).
? Strong knowledge of networking, Linux, and Windows Server.
? Ability to work independently to triage issues and prioritize tasks.
Education and Experience
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree preferred.
? 5-10 years experience in an IT Director or Manager position strongly preferred.
? 5+ years experience managing a Helpdesk.
? 5+ years experience managing vendors and budgets.
