Manager: Global IT Operations and Enterprise Wide Applications
Job Responsibilities:
Manage all application system administration for enterprise applications:
- Evaluate migrations, patches and upgrades
- Manage/Develop environment security
- Manage/Develop application security and setup web users
- Manage configuration, maintain system and/or external interfaces
- Manage vendor relationship with both hardware hosting provider and software provider
- Manage software and hardware issue resolutions and escalations
- Manage production support service levels, reporting and customer satisfaction
- Manage monitoring of all production systems in the Access/IPI infrastructure
- Project manage all new business requirements/projects for the IT operations organization
Manage all operations support to internal customers for desktop, laptop, and networked systems:
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide support model leveraging Engineering IT resources where applicable
- Establish service agreements and operational guidelines for all services or applications partners (including internal and external service providers)
- Define end user support guidelines and procedures for all offices
- Develop feedback mechanisms that could help to improve support or customer satisfaction
- Develop documentation policies
- Manage documentation of all instituted procedures, policies and end user support model documentation
- Provide h/w and s/w analysis including costs and implementation timelines
- Responsible for all monitoring of service level agreements and customer satisfaction
- Provide h/w and s/w analysis including costs and implementation timelines
- Responsible for managing/creating reporting tools designed to monitor the overall health of the IT organization
- Project manage implementations of new support functionality
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of client-server, help desk/desktop support, software and hardware solutions (including ERP), Unix/ NT, networking and Web technologies
Proven ability and track record in delivering projects on time and on budget
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to thrive in an environment in which resources are limited and timelines are short
Ability to foster a collaborative team environment
Must be a hands-on project manager willing to lead by example
Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of management
Proficient in using s/w planning and presentation tools such as MS project, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
Skills/Experience:
Must have experience leading enterprise application project teams, production support environment management, and a thorough understanding of current IT technologies
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational skills.
Must have cross-functional and/or matrix management experience, including leveraging of corporate and third-party resources
Must have the ability to influence laterally and vertically in the organization.
Extensive experience introducing and managing new technologies into an IT organization
8+ years experience in a IS department or capacity with 2+ years of project management experience
Education:
A B.S. or higher degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
