Manager, IT Systems & Projects Axiom Legal

Axiom, a new model professional services firm and a revolution in the legal industry, is seeking a Manager, IT Systems & Projects to provide front-line support to its Managed Discovery and Managed Contracts Services business lines in our Chicago Office.

The position is based in our Chicago office, but would require periodic travel to other managed services sites for project ramp-ups and health assessments/?tune-ups?. Some after-hours / weekend work will be necessary to minimize the impact of system changes to your end users and to ensure project timelines are met.

Ability to quickly master complexities & nuances of diverse computing environments & technologies in support of business process outsourcing relationships where Axiom must integrate itself within its customers computing ecosystem.
Ability and a strong desire to provide exceptional in-person and remote support to our user base across our offices.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep abreast of the latest technological advances.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Thorough knowledge and experience in administering Windows 2003 and 2008 servers in domain environment including installing, troubleshooting and configuring DNS. DHCP, IIS, Group Policy, User/Group administration, auditing event logs. MCSA certification a plus.

Thorough knowledge and experience in installing, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Vista & 7. Experience in developing, maintaining, and deploying workstations images via Symantec Ghost a plus.
Demonstrated experience in the leadership, management, supervision, and coordination of team members and resources in both projects and daily operations to achieve successful outcomes and on-going, measurable improvements.
Successful track record of managing technology and related operations projects inclusive of 1) setting scope, priorities, deadlines; 2) defining deliverables & schedules; 3) facilitating discussion and consensus amongst stakeholders; and 4) developing project budgets; and 5) tracking to project timelines and budget.
Network administration experience (LAN/WAN connectivity, network architecture, network security concepts, firewal administration, subnetting, wireless networking, managed switches, QoS, VLANs, TCP/IP concepts). Sonicwall experience and/or CCNA certification desirable.
Familiarity with MS SQL Server administration and SQL language a plus.

Education

Bachelor degree required.
