The Manager of North American Channels is responsible for X-IO?s, recruitment and development of channel partners including the development of VAR programs and ? Go to Market? strategies. This individual will also manage distributor relationships. This role is also responsible for overall revenue growth through indirect channels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual assigned revenue targets.
Develop and execute VAR partner training and programs including on boarding and lead development strategies.
Drive standards/best practices, engagement model, tools and overall work processes to align with corporate goals.
Develop and manage distribution partners. Including training, partner recruitment and investment programs
Analyze partner sales statistics and develop action plan to grow revenue.
Work collaboratively with field sales teams to develop and manage regional partners.
Represent company at trade association meetings to promote product.
Develop and deliver sales presentations to key partners and prospects.
Coordinate liaison between channel sales function and other company units.
Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
Interviewing, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and disciplining employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
Eight to ten years? experience in computer and/or software channel sales, and three or more years? experience in sales management.
Strong ability to problem solve
Ability to manage difficult customer situations while providing excellent service
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Proven ability to delegate and manage staff using strong leadership skills to motivate others
Must possess strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to understand the organization, analyze market conditions and competition.
Must take initiative and be able to identify advantages and opportunities
Must be self-motivated with the desire to set and achieve challenging goals
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
