Works under limited supervision both individually and within a team environment. Direct supervisory responsibility of a staff of 5 exempt level employees. Establishes priorities for the department. Handles confidential information with discretion. Must meet inflexible deadlines. Position performs multiple tasks in an environment of changing priorities. Frequent internal contact with all levels of employees; moderate amount of external contact with vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Plans, coordinates and supervises the month end close process.
?Ensures that month end financial reports are completed
?Drives internal process improvements in regards to month end closing cycle, identifies and analyzes efficiencies to be obtained in shortening the close cycle.
?Prepares monthly management financial reporting
?Ensures that financial records comply with (GAAP)
?Solve complex accounting issues
?Possesses strong analytical skills and ability to research fluctuations, identify issues and make appropriate recommendations.
?Performs, documents, and communicates monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance analysis of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
?Reviews financial results with Executive management
?Hands on management of the General Ledger Accounting
?Manages monthly account reconciliation
?Manage the maintenance of the general ledger system
?Prepares any required schedules to assist Finance Group with operating budgets, forecasts, cash management etc
?Effectively collaborates in cross-department teams for system implementations, process improvements and other Company-wide initiatives.
?Demonstrates exemplary communication skills?both verbal and written.
?Provides leadership, direction, instruction and assistance to assigned staff. Sets performance targets for staff and continually provide feedback regarding actual performance in comparison to targets.
RequirementsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or the equivalent in training and experience. Substantial experience demonstrating knowledge of accounting principles and practice, including financial administration, general ledger, accounts payable and budget reporting. Ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports and skill in analyzing and interpreting financial data. Strong organizational skills; detail orientation; and the ability to prepare reports in a timely manner. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform a high volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy. Requires frequent use of personal computer, including word processing, database and spreadsheet programs. Ability to sit for extended periods of time, periodically bending and twisting and frequently applying a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
? ORACLE ERP within the last 4 years
? 3 years of GAAP; generally accepted accounting principles
? 7+ years of related professional experience
? 3 years supervisory experience of more than 2 people
? Conversion from Oracle v11i to v12
? Direct and effective management of a diverse team;varying skill levels
