Description:The Benefits Manager works as part of the Human Resource service unit from corporate office to 3 sales centers, creating company internal process relative to benefits and leave of absences. The Benefits Manager is responsible for managing client-specific services and provides avenues for maintaining the quality of benefits management for employees.
?Design, plan, and implement corporate benefits programs, wellness program, policies, and procedures.
?Serves as administrative liaison to Benefit Providers in partnership with our Benefit Advisory/Broker company.
?Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefit programs.
?Develop new hire benefits orientation presentation and instructions for benefits enrollment in benefits plans.
?Conducts and educates new hire employee benefits meetings at corporate office & coordinate meetings w/broker for call centers? new hires.
?Coordinate and communicate on benefit events such as wellness fairs and open enrollment.
?Manage the annual open enrollment process-renewals, employee input, coordinate meetings, materials, etc.
?Troubleshoot benefit eligibility or access issues to vendors? websites, as well as outstanding claims.
?Partner with Finance/Payroll on review and reconciliation of provider monthly billings.
?Communicate, input and shepherd Associates through 401k enrollments, distributions/elections, and education. Also oversee annual enrollment for Deferred Comp plan.
?Inform HR team of patterns in employee questions and complaints.
?Handles benefits inquiries and processes employee benefit forms/requests including Qualifying Life Events.
?Manages claims as it relates to workman?s comp, STD, FMLA, ADA
?Manages Medical Support Notices and state health insurance support notices to remain compliant.
?Administers, reviews & approves leave of absence requests (Personal, Medical or FMLA), enter data and maintain Gradiance FMLA tracking software
?Assist managers and supervisors and employees in completion of Benefits & Leave of Absence forms.
?Researches legal compliance questions and or concerns as it relates to benefits and LOAs
?Administer and communicate the company's benefits programs including health and welfare programs (medical, dental, vision, prescription, life insurance, etc.)
?Manage annual open enrollment process.
Conduct HRIS Administrator duties such as resetting passwords, updating job titles, creating processes and workflows
Act as ADP Portal Administrator (Welcome & Resources pages)and maintain internal communications with updated documents, upcoming events, trainings, benefits, recognition, and policies
Conducts benefit enrollments for: COBRA/terminations, beneficiaries, disability, and qualifying events for current and former employees
Appropriate responsibility for maintenance of corporate employee data in ADP HRIS system
Track and report on employment actions such as termination, hiring, and compensation changes
Complete periodic regulatory reporting requirements; assure compliance and conduct analysis as required.
Oversee the weekly Carrier Connections by reviewing error reports and reconciliation of issues thru ADP HRB.
Ownership of benefit records, eligibility and access ensuring quality of records, keeping information current and inputting timely updates or additions to HRIS database.
Ensure that employee records are maintained in accordance with federal and state laws
Assist with documentation and approval process to enact terminations, transfers, pay changes, hire, supervisor changes, cost center changes, and other employment actions
Qualifications:?Undergraduate degree (Business, Human Resources or related field)
?5 plus years of strong, broad-based benefits administration experience, including but not limited to medical, dental, disability, life insurance, leave administration and retirement plans
?Thorough knowledge of applicable laws (ERISA, FMLA, FLSA, HIPAA, DOL etc.).
?Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ADP Workforce Now- HRB platform & Portal Administration
?Must possess excellent customer service skill, communication, interpersonal, and group presentation skills.
?Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently and work independently
?Conflict resolution skills and ability to design creative approaches to problem resolution
