EXTERNAL.The Manager of Financial Reporting and Accounting will be responsible for assisting the Senior Manager with financial reporting and analysis and managing a Senior Accountant, including but not limited to internal and external reporting, quarterly analysis of income statement and balance sheet accounts, accounting research and other special projects. This person will be responsible for working with the accounting team to prepare and gather support for all financial statement accounts and ensure all disclosure items in all externally reported financial data is properly supported and accurate. We are looking for someone who is honest, hardworking, and able to interact with the accounting team on a daily basis. Responsibilities
Manage the preparation of SEC filings, including but not limited to Form 10-Q and Form 10-K
Responsible for gathering supporting schedules and performing detailed tie-outs for SEC Reporting, earnings releases and other financial reporting ad-hoc request
Assist in drafting significant accounting policies for disclosure purposes
Responsible for completing disclosure checklist on a quarterly basis
Research technical accounting and assist in writing technical memos
Perform ad-hoc
Ensure controls are properly performed within the financial reporting and financial close process
Required Skills and Experience
Must have a Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA licensure is a plus or have a plan and desire to obtain licensure
4-5 years of Big 4 or National Firm experience is a must
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to analyze and investigate accounting matters and have the ability to conclude and propose solutions
Ability to work on multiple projects of high priority
Exceptional research skills on technical matters
Extremely detailed oriented
Must be able to work independently and be a team player
Proven experience working in a team under pressure to meet deadlines
Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Netsuite or other accounting software is a plus
