Cvent, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for our McLean, VA office. As an integral member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, you will have the opportunity to assist in every aspect of the company's decisions and analysis. Our team includes organized and driven self-starters that have a desire to grow within the company. The suitable candidate should be able to own and push forward projects, while also being able to see the bigger long-term picture. Our team is the go-to department for both the Revenue and Cost Budgeting and creating internal dashboards and metrics to facilitate forward looking strategic decisions as well as historical benchmarking. As a business partner, you will be expected to enable Senior Management and the finance organization to manage to financial targets and help support strategic business decisions on new product launches, international expansion and mergers/acquisitions. This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Manage Cvent's team of Financial Analysts
Create complex financial models and develop ad hoc analysis
Work with internal functional teams and senior executives to understand business information needs and design and develop reports with clear insights
Efficiently communicate information to departmental heads and decision makers
Responsible for organizing, maintaining, and disseminating metrics and tracking in support of process improvement initiatives and ongoing operational activities and management
Understanding the entire data landscape and become an expert for company-wide data questions. This role is not myopically focused on Finance, but rather, is deeply integrated with the performance of many other departments in the organization.
Prepare Senior Management, Board of Directors and Investor presentations and assist in the preparation of materials required to support Cvent's disclosure requirements as a public company
Analyze operational performance and trends, influence appropriate action to ensure financial results and objectives are maximized
Create and standardize financial and operational reports/dashboards, process metrics, KPI's, etc.
Become expert on current systems that source key information required to report on business performance
Bachelor's degree required
MBA in Finance preferred
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a FP&A role, preferably for a publicly held company
Experience managing a team of Financial Analysts
Corporate finance, financial modeling
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial calculations
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and able to work well with a team
Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office products ÂÂÂÂâ€" very strong Excel - skills and PowerPoint is a plus
Experience with Access and/or SQL a plus
Understanding and experience in SaaS and/or technology industries is preferred
