Manager of Internal Training WideOrbit
Job Description:
The Manager of Internal Training owns the WideOrbit internal training program. She or he works with WideOrbit managers to identify training needs and develop training plans, methods, and schedules. The Manager of Internal Training then acquires the resources needed for training and manages the execution of the program.
Responsibilities:
Work with WideOrbit department heads and managers to define training needs of employees
Develop training plans, curriculum, and schedules to meet those needs
Choose the most effective and efficient training techniques
Secure subject matter experts and other resources to deliver training
Evaluate the effectiveness of such training
Collaborate with teams that develop or deliver client training (for example, CBT development, implementation, professional services) to leverage internal and external training
Create an ongoing training program for the different areas of the company
When possible, deliver training
Skills/Qualifications
Excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills
At least two years experience as a trainer or training manager
Ability to identify expertise and knowledge required for different roles at WideOrbit
Comprehensive knowledge of training methods, including distance learning and computer-based training
Ability to build support for a training program
Ability to negotiate with managers for subject matter experts
Ability to inspire support for an ongoing training program
