Position: Manager, Research - Santa Monica
This managerial level position will work with all aspects of research in support of Tennis Channel goals. The position reports directly to the SVP of Research and provides service to all departments including Programming, Tennis Industry Relations, Affiliate Relations, Ad Sales, Marketing and Corporate, allowing for significant exposure within Tennis Channel.
Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Able to absorb and analyze data quickly and translate findings into marketing stories.
Must have the communication skills to present the findings internally, and the writing and creative skills to produce persuasive and usable sales materials and presentations.
Oversight of the production and write up of the morning ratings, competitive reports, and media dashboard, working closely with the research analyst.
A minimum of 3 years experience in media research and preferably 5 or more.
Experience in cable or broadcast network research and/or digital measurement is preferred.
Primary research experience and knowledge of sports/tennis are a plus.
Specific skills include proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and ability to learn new software easily.
Comfort with math is necessary and some study/knowledge of statistics is a plus.
Prior exposure to Nielsen, Mendelsohn, MRI, Simmons or software of similar data providers is advised.
