McLean, VA Description Reporting to the Senior Director, Sales Development, the Manager of Sales Development will lead the daily activities of the Inside Sales organization at Cvent. This individual will have a proven track record of planning, executing, measuring, and refining effective telemarketing programs that support the goals of the sales. This individual will manage, coach and support the activities of the Inside Sales representatives and will also be responsible for hitting specific activity metrics and performance targets. This individual will work closely with sales leadership and marketing to support specific lead generation initiatives, and will ensure that program goals are effectively translated into telemarketing campaigns that achieve those goals.
Position Duties:
Proven track record of being able to reach qualified C-Level executives, generate interest, and set up follow on appointments for account executives
Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Ability to plan daily and weekly activities for an inside sales team, monitor performance, and measure results
Ability to guide individuals toward goal achievement using negotiation, teamwork/collaboration, motivation, and staff development skills
Ability to coach and develop action plans to maximize performance and provide effective feedback when necessary
Innovative mindset to help analyze and improve work processes
Monitor data capture and use of reporting tools to track performance, while providing accurate and timely management reports on team metrics
Flexibility to respond to business conditions as they arise. Cool under pressure
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Self-starter, who can get up to speed
Experience using Salesforce.com is a plus
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 2 years of direct experience as an inside sales representative, and at least 1 year of inside sales management required
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to multi-task and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-changing entrepreneurial environment
Previous experience selling an ASP/subscription license is a plus
It is not a technical position. Relevant experience might include selling CRM or CMS systems, ASP based data systems, Travel or Meeting Planning Services
Able to work with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Salesforce.com or similar contact management software
