BidPal Network improves charitable fundraising by wirelessly automating the auction bidding process. BidPal's handheld bidding devices use iPod Touch technology'eliminating paper bid sheets and costly item catalogs, while making bidding easy and exciting for guests. Because guests can bid on auction items from anywhere at any time, charitable organizations greatly increase the number of bids per item. Pre-event consulting, real-time monitoring of auction proceeds, no-hassle checkouts, and immediate post-event reporting are just a few ways that BidPal is revolutionizing charitable fundraising.
The Manager, West Operations is responsible for the following:
1. Managing the event preparation process for the region, including site surveys, special logistics planning and event day staffing.
2. Recruiting and staffing full time and part time technical staff.
3. Leading the technical post event resolution process for the region.
4. Conducting on site venue evaluations.
5. Maintaining positive venue and customer relationships through regular and standardized communication.
6. Initiating and leading process improvement projects to drive cost and efficiency gains.
Job functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
? Coordinate with venue, customer and event management to execute events with 98% satisfaction.
? Recruit and train staff for the region. This will require presence in the region, likely travel 1-2 times per month.
? Manage expenses to budget.
? Manage deployment of new equipment to the field by assigning appropriate resources in advance, project planning, and vendor training.
? Maintain inventory accuracy through processes, policies, dashboards and reports. Develop methods of positive compliance such as vendor awards.
? Maintain accurate data in salesforce.com.
BS/BA required - Business or operations degree or coursework is helpful but not required.
? At least five years total experience
? Leadership of a team of employees supporting multiple functional areas
? Experience with event execution and planning, preferably within a technology company.
? Experience with 802.11g wireless networks.
? Must be detail orientated and initiative driven
? Experience defining business requirements for process and system improvement projects
? Capable of maintaining a high level of independent work on detailed projects
? Ability to work in team environment with all management and staff levels
? Exceptional customer relationship management skills
? Exceptional communication skills ? including: written and interpersonal
? Highly organized with the ability to meet multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
