Reporting into the Vice President of Member Acquisition, this position will be based in Zipcar?s new home office in Boston. This person will lead an area within global marketing at Zipcar, to develop and manage scalable marketing partnerships to meet member acquisition and engagement goals. He/she will form the foundation for a new partnership team that will help scale the Zipcar brand and provide relevant and contextual marketing partnership support to the growing number of markets where Zipcar operates. Passion and excitement for the Zipcar mission is an essential requirement of this role.
Key to success in the position is marketing experience with other world-class brands where customer loyalty is a driver of business success. The role blends both business development (hunter) and relationship (farmer) skills to create and scale successful partnerships.
The ideal candidate blends creativity and analytical skills sets with demonstrated success of owning and managing complex marketing relationships.
Lead and manage a newly-formed global partner marketing team that defines and executes on a comprehensive partnership marketing strategy for Zipcar?s current and future member service offerings.
Develop and scale strategic marketing relationships with top global brands that have broad-reaching and holistic benefit across various areas of Zipcar (member acquisition, member benefit / experience, Zipcar product segments, etc.)
Serves as a liaison between external marketing partners and internal stakeholders within marketing, strategy, engineering, finance, field marketing and sales teams to develop solutions that impact the business on a local, national and global level.
Responsible for understanding the levers that will drive partnership success and developing KPI?s to analyze performance, and developing and implementing partner marketing campaigns at global, national and local levels.
Act as internal champion and relationship owner for key marketing relationships
Work closely with the business development team to represent the marketing function in broader strategic relationships; oversee the execution of marketing reporting for key strategic relationships.
BS/BA, MBA a plus.
8+ years of progressive integrated marketing experiences with an emphasis on partnership roles with top tier brands. Experience in the credit card,hospitality or airline industry a plus.
Deep experience developing high-impact co-marketing programs and prioritizing partnership opportunities.
Demonstrated track record of building and fostering strong partner relationships with direct and measurable results.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with the most senior levels of management
Highly organized with excellent project management skills, with ability to track multiple simultaneous projects and deliverables.
Highly motivated to work cross-functionally and direct cross-functional teams to drive the highest return initiatives.
Global perspective and international experience required. Bilingual or multilingual a plus
Highly analytical, quantitative driven approach to evaluation of opportunities.
Has the ability to model the financial impact / risk of a deal structure and use to this to effectively reach consensus with internal constituents and external partners.
Not afraid to be ?in the weeds? when it comes to development and execution of programs.
Must be able to pass a background check
