Zipcar is looking to add a Manager of Pricing and Revenue Management to the Financial Planning and Analysis team. The successful candidate will guide and execute Zipcar?s pricing policies, strategy and tests while maintaining a member-centric approach to deliver long-term profitability. In addition to standard and special vehicle pricing, Revenue Management includes membership rate plan offerings and competitive analysis. Reports to the Director of FP&A and works closely with senior leadership team and P&L managers.
Day-to-day responsibilities will vary, and are not represented in their entirety:
Develop content for and lead regular pricing strategy meetings with top-leadership
Execute, monitor and evaluate pricing tests to deliver real value to our members while maintaining or improving Zipcar?s profitability
Partner with Marketing and Operations teams to optimize membership rate plan offerings and vehicle performance
Conduct competitive analysis to proactively manage marketplace changes
Master and leverage the power of our database to identify new Revenue Management opportunities
Contribute to the preparation of annual and monthly demand forecasts
Oversee and develop direct reports
Fundamental understanding of pricing strategy, structures and techniques
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels (including executive team) and articulate ideas, analysis results, and actionable recommendations
Must be able to work well with others in a dynamic team environment
Ability to set priorities and deliver high quality work, while meeting rigid deadlines
Bachelor?s degree, preferably in a quantitative major, Master?s degree a plus
Excellent computer skills (advanced excel and planning/forecasting tools), the ideal candidate will have data-mining and SQL capabilities
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Minimum three years of relevant (pricing, yield or revenue management) experience
