Position Overview:
The Manager, Procurement will have responsibility for executing Core Performance?s global procurement activities which include purchasing, sourcing, supplier negotiation, supplier management, and contract management. The person who fills this position will play an integral role for Core Performance ? a leading company in the Corporate Wellness industry.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership consistent with the Core Performance mission, culture, and methodologies
Prepare client-facing quotes for equipment and fitness-related soft goods and maintain internal SLAs on turnaround time and order processing
Prepare and issue equipment and soft goods purchase orders and track all related activities including shipping, receiving, and invoicing
Identify, implement, and track cost reduction opportunities through price negotiation, supplier competition and competitive bidding, alternative sourcing, EOQ, and other areas
Design and implement strategic sourcing activities when necessary which include gathering internal customer requirements, conducting market analyses, developing and issuing RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, negotiating pricing with selected supplier(s), and developing pricing agreements
Own and maintain the Item Master which includes updating all products, parts, cost, and pricing information
Develop and foster relationships with key suppliers and drive continuous improvement within the supplier base
Collaborate with business leadership, field personnel, and corporate teams to identify opportunities to improve procurement and supply chain processes
Drive project deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget performance in the delivery of Core Performance solutions
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Core Performance personnel, clients and other key players within the wellness and fitness industry
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is required with an emphasis on Business, Supply Chain Management and/or Finance
5+ years of progressive procurement/supply chain management experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Exemplary financial and/or operational modeling and analytical skills and demonstrated critical thinking and strategic thinking capabilities
Superior written and verbal communication skills customizable to meet diverse audience needs
Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers
Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn how to use new technology
Driven, assertive, and results-oriented
Able to ?own? projects and see them through to completion
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to new roles and responsibilities in a rapid growth environment
Desired Requirements:
MBA or other advanced degree
Professional certification (CPM, CPSM, CMRP, or CSCP equivalent)
Six Sigma or Lean Process improvement certification and/or experience
ReQlogic experience
International procurement experience
Advanced Microsoft Access skills
Experience in the Fitness and/or Corporate Wellness space
Experience within start-up or growth phase companies
