We are currently seeking a Manager, Product Data Management
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to;
Develops global processes, Data Standards, workflows and reports to maintain and deliver data to meet both application and business needs.
Defines data management priorities and ensures that cross-functional teams are communicating to define both departmental and enterprise data strategies.
Define, implement, execute and supervise processes to ensure the integrity of product information, documentation change controls within Agile and Oracle are formally executed and controlled within DDN guidelines.
Interacts with product management, engineering, procurement and manufacturing to maintain accuracy of product data related to ERP, Change Control, initial Material/BOM setup/release, variant configuration models, change control, routings, work centers, etc.
Represents engineering, manufacturing and procurement needs and serves as the knowledge expert in Materials Masters and data which supports engineering and supply chain requirements.
Manage the day-to-day change control process and provide direction for the creation/update of product process-related data in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
Manage process of collecting and executing proposed engineering changes
Manage process of collecting and executing SKU and part creation, pricing actions
Manage the changes through the process of the change control board (CCB)
Define Business Processes for Engineering Change Management and Document Management Systems
Write Standard Operating Procedures for Engineering Change Management and Document Management System
Drive ownership of Engineering Change Management (ECM)
Drive ownership, accountability and implementation of engineering change within DDN, contract manufacturers and suppliers.
Drive continuous improvement while supporting transformation strategies that create robust capabilities within the Product Data Management team to grow with the business
Manage direct reports, outsourced partners, and DDN factory operations for excellence in product data set-ups, change management, and document controls
Establish audit guidelines and executes audits / functional activities to ensure changes in data, documentation and specifications are effectively being executed within the manufacturing facilities.
Set PDM/ECM standards and policies and lead efforts for continuous improvement of PDM/ECM processes
Facilitate problem resolution from request for action (RFA) submissions to CCB approval
Manage Roles/Authorizations in Agile for ECR/ECO?s and Document Management System.
Assist in Validation and Regression testing of changes to ECR/ECO, Document Management System and Workflow.
Create training material for ECR/ECO and Document Management System.
Manage product data management resources
Train PDM system users
Implement, report and own metrics for ensuring Product Design Data, BOM, and AVL quality
Act as central point of contact for PDM/ECM processes issues within DDN and partners
Manage closed loop end-to-end implementation process with contract manufacturers
Expedite requests and troubleshoot issues with document requests.
Qualifications for this role are;
This position drives and develops the product data management strategy for internal factory and outsourced manufacturing environment and is responsible for ensuring bill of material (BOM), approved vendor list (AVL), overall product recipe accuracy with partner systems and for managing the engineering change order (ECO) process to account for all changes.
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent; additional technical coursework in areas such as configuration management or APICS CPIM certification preferred.
Familiarity with ANSI and ASME standards
8-10 years related experience managing Oracle Item Masters, Bills of Materials, routings and other Item Master Data
3-5 years supervisory experience; strong leadership, communication and project management skills.
Experience with Agile PLM software application
Demonstrated experience using Windows OS, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), Internet Explorer, and Visio
Background in component engineering or industrial/manufacturing engineering
Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, teaching, training and coaching skills
Demonstrated leadership of a broad team engaged on multiple projects
Proven ability to contribute to and influence complex development projects
Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously across businesses
Ability to coordinate the work of others against requirements of schedule and quality
Reduces broad concepts to structured projects
