Reports to: Director, Product Marketing ? Phosphor Com.General Purpose/Objectives:
Develops specific marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s)
to introduce new products and grow product share within the competitive arena.
Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace. Oversees market
research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs. Establishes
pricing strategies. Works with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new
products or enhance exciting products(s) or product line(s).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Ensure product and market requirements are clearly & concisely defined.
? Define, plan and execute new product launch materials including brochures,
trade show signage, press releases, advertisements, catalog, web content, white
papers and FAQ's.
? Work with Product Development, Sales, resellers, and customers to define new
products, features and functionality based on market needs and determining
product pricing for domestic and international markets.
? Report program status on weekly basis, highlighting project schedule, critical
issues, and outlinging corrective measures as needed.
? Investigate and explore applications and required technical specifications for new
products and new markets.
? Interact with industry participants to define and predict emerging market trends
and technology roadmap for the industry, our customers and our competitors.
? Establish pricing strategies and define communication of product pricing.
Required Qualifications:
? Bachelor Degree in Engineering, MBA a plus
? 5+ years of marketing, sales, applications, or operations experience
? Solid state lighting experience preferred
? Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
? Program management training or experience
? Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment
?? Hands on experience and willingness to perform new product introduction
process development & execution
? Proficient user in Microsoft Office Suite
? Some travel will be required
? Proficient in English a must.
