The Manager, Product Marketing will drive the company?s solution focused demand generation activities with a focus on increasing short and long term revenues worldwide. The role will collaborate with Product Management and Sales to develop a marketing strategy and will define a marketing plan to be executed. He/she will own the entire lifecycle of all demand generation programs from strategy through execution and measurement with the specific goal of ?filling the funnel? and driving pipeline. The Manager, Product Marketing will also work with the Product Management Industry Solution Lead in vertical market targeting and strategy development activities. Candidates should have at least 7-10 years integrated marketing experience including: positioning, marketing program strategy, direct marketing (both online and offline), sales collateral development, print, advertising, web, public relations and tradeshows. The Product Marketing Manager will be required to perform and evaluate customer and competitive research, market conditions, and implement plan changes as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Through marketing activities, drive the strategic mindset shift from marketing and selling from a ?product? centric perspective to one of ?solution? and value add related to the business. Focus specifically on driving mindset shift within the sales organizations to drive sales and revenues.
Own the identification, creation and execution of a marketing plan for your respective product/vertical that will define marketing campaign tactics and sales enablement activities.
Work closely with product management on implementation of vertical specific strategy including initial go to market strategy and ongoing execution in established markets.
Work closely with global sales organizations, marketing communications, product management and other stakeholders to identify and describe the ideal customer profile for each campaign initiative, identifying segment-specific attributes.
Create integrated campaigns that leverage a variety of marketing mix elements. Ensure campaign messages, vehicles, and offers are well-tuned to the identified customer profile.
Maintain marketing calendars with activities clearly annotated with verticals targeted, and orientation to minor/major campaign efforts.
Partner with sales to identify prospect universe by vertical market, geography and solution area.
Work with outside vendors as well as internal database to aggregate lists, leverage in-house lists, provide suppression lists, manage frequency and timing of list use, etc. Track quality of lists and ensure lists represent campaign profiles.
Monitor industry and technology trends and suggest items or topics as candidates for public relations activity.
Participate in sales efforts from a marketing support perspective and assist channel efforts with resellers and distributors to best position and promote products
Manage extraction of consistent monthly and quarterly metrics reports on success of programs directly from internal software systems.
Work cross-functionally to insure all campaigns and results are appropriately tagged in CRM and marketing automation system.
Manage assigned budget using defined marketing budget management processes.
Articulate ROI of marketing spend to executive management, as well as marketing effectiveness of various mix elements in order to refine future marketing strategy.
Work with marketing team to prioritize and allocate broader marketing budget across web, field and corporate marketing programs to maximize generation of pipeline.
The candidate must have 7-10 years of integrated marketing experience, preferablyin solution oriented enterprise software.
Knowledge of regulated industries (life sciences, oil & gas, and/or food & beverage) industries a plus.
Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Strong leadership, communication (Experience using marketing automation platforms (salesforece.com, Eloqua, Marketo, Market2Lead etc.) is preferred.
Excellent logical, presentation, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 35%.
Experience in software technology.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Bachelor?s degree or advanced
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas in person, over the telephone, and in written correspondence to different management levels, departments and geographies within organizations
