CombineNet?s Professional Services team is responsible for providing customer support, training development and delivery, and managed services for CombineNet customers and partners. Within the Professional Services team, the Manager role provides critical support in the delivery of new revenue-producing training, consulting, and managed service offerings for CombineNet customers and partners.
Role Specific Responsibilities:
Lead managed service event delivery for designated customer accounts, including identification of customer requirements, configuration of ASAP to meet customer needs, and tool training and support throughout the sourcing process.
Demonstrate advanced understanding of CombineNet ASAP and its use to meet client sourcing project requirements.
Demonstrate growing knowledge of one or more sourcing categories, including the unique challenges and competitive dynamics that drive specific sourcing decisions. For these categories provide expertise and guidance to client team members during project delivery.
Provide content expertise for the development of Best Practice Center materials and templates.
Serve in a consulting role for Best Practice Center members who need advice on current or future sourcing events across a variety of categories.
Deliver On-Boarding Training to teams of customers in live classroom settings as well as via webinar.
Work with members of the Professional Services team and other internal departments to identify, document, and implement processes that will improve operational effectiveness.
Scope Professional Services effort for customer engagements in support of pre-sales activities.
Build outstanding customer relationships with our clients and their suppliers.
Relationship/People Management:
Promote collaborative work environment within the Professional Services team and with other CombineNet departments.
Lead internal initiatives in areas such as productivity improvements, knowledge management, and preparations for upcoming software releases.
Participate in cross-functional teams on internal initiatives or client delivery projects.
Knowledge & Experience:
Five years of experience working in strategic sourcing, procurement, operations or management consulting with at least two years of project management experience in a customer facing role.
Experience with e-sourcing tools and their application in a variety of sourcing categories.
Bachelor?s Degree (preferably in Engineering, Business, eCommerce, Supply Chain, or Operations) or commensurate work experience.
Proven ability to respond to customer needs and build strong relationships
Previous experience as a buyer with responsibility for transportation, packaging, or services categories is a plus.
A supply management certification such as Institute for Supply Management C.P.S.M. designation or a Project Management certification such as the Project Management Institute P.M.P. designation is strongly preferred.
