We are currently recruiting for a Manager of Sales who is a team player, can manage the sales activities of the
inside sales organization and is willing to handle a wide variety of tasks on a daily basis. In addition to working

Manage the sales activities of inside sales organization. Conduct sales calls to clients, and assist inside sales
representatives, through participation, in calls on accounts to develop and coordinate sales presentations.
Responsible for maximizing revenue through sale of Rogue Wave products and services to new and current
customers. Work in conjunction with senior management in devising plans and strategies. Requires a high
level of professionalism, teamwork, leadership, and experience.
? Develop and implement strategic inside sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
? Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
? Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control inside sales programs.
? Establish sales territories, quotas, and goals in conjunction with the SVP Sales.
? Coordinate resources to ensure sales growth including recruiting and training responsibilities.
? Work cohesively with customer executive staff to understand customer business needs.
? Work with marketing and professional services to develop appropriate product and merchandising
support, which includes product/service packages, pricing, etc.
? Meet with key clients, assisting inside sales representatives with maintaining relationships and
negotiating and closing deals.
? Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
? Analyze and control expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirements.
? Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
? Work well with departments that support the sales process ? Finance/Accounting, IT, Credit, Legal,
Development/R&D, Tech Support, Marketing ? to help close business and keep the lines of
communication open within the company.
? Follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction with products and/or services provided.
? Maintain sales records and provide sales reports as required.
? Travel as required.
? Provide superior customer service and satisfaction to all internal and external customers.
? Adhere to company values.
? Other duties may be assigned as necessary for the successful operation of the business.
Business and Technical Competencies:
? Effective management skills with ability to develop and manage telephone field sales operations.
? Strategic selling skills and knowledge of software pricing practices.
? Excellent time management, communication, human relations, presentation and organizational skills.
? Ability to advise customers and subordinates about the best solution.
? Consultative sales skills involving product, services and education.
? Experience dealing with large complex sales transactions.
? Experience with financial and telco institutions a plus.
? Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, CRM experience a must. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics
Work Experience and Education:
BS/BA in business, sales, or marketing or equivalent training in business or sales management. Requires seven
to ten years of experience in product/services sales with three years of experience in sales management.
