Manager, Sales Integration Software Engineering Gorilla Nation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Balance leader and senior contributor/hands-on team member roles within the SI (Sales Integration) software engineering team responsible for engineering rich media ad units (examples: http://www.gorillanation.com/showcase/rich-media) and custom destinations and microsites (examples: http://www.gorillanation.com/showcase/custom-destinations) as well as for the reporting and analytics for these properties/products.
Champion company core values and advocate for continuous improvement across the SI development teams and the organization at large.
Plays key role in technology leadership alongside with CTO and several other senior technologists.
Champion technical tools selection, productization, performance management, and failure analysis initiatives.
Co-champion software engineering talent acquisition, career development, and coaching.
Ensure that all product environments are optimally running, available without unplanned interruption, and build according clearly defined SDLC.
Advocate data driven decision creating and maintaining various metrics and dashboards.
Requirements:
At least 7 years of software engineering experience, with a strong hands on foundation in software engineering in MVC based Object-Oriented LAMP PHP environments.
Proven record of delivery. Able to inspire a team to produce and maintain technical standards, be their advocate, be able to provide mentorship.
At least 2 years of recent experience leading engineers as a technical and administrative leader.
Recent hands on development experience and experience to coach teams to produce best code possible.
Experience with XML based dynamic applications, standards-compliant markup, CSS and Javascript,
Experience working with content management systems, especially WordPress or Joomla.
Extensive knowledge of software development design patterns such as MVC.
Good understanding of Agile environment principles, especially Scrum.
Ability to partner with others. The ideal candidate will have opinions, but not be dogmatic about their delivery.
Desired Skills:
Experience with ActionScript programming language.
High volume, high availability, web environment experience.
Experience with version control systems, SVN preferred.
Experience with geographically distributed development teams is a strong plus.
Ad agency experience is a strong plus.
BS in Computer Science or related field.
