Manager, SEM Client Services Adchemy
The Manager, SEM Client Services is responsible for driving search implementation strategies supporting the Go To Market efforts for Adchemy?s proprietary IntentMap Search Marketing platform. The SEM Manager leads a Client Services SEM Team, driving efforts to build and operate IntentMaps for one or multiple top 100 online advertisers. Core responsibilities include campaign strategy definition, data analysis, campaign optimization, and managing client relationships. This hands-on role is an opportunity for experienced SEMs to further expand and refine their knowledge of search engine marketing strategies and technologies across a wide array of clients and verticals with growth into team management roles within the Client Services SEM organization. The SEM Manager role is closely guided and supported by a Senior SEM Manager or SEM Director.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead Project teams for IntentMap implementation and operation, including project planning, accountable for meeting SEM project milestones
Manage and prioritize team's work, allocate SEM Analysts and Associates to specific tasks for implementation
Own Campaigns success, partnership success and advertiser satisfaction
Lead relationship with Advertiser SEM contact, proactively sets cadence and depth of interaction and ensure follow up, manage Advertiser expectations and requests, escalate issues
Campaign Build Phase:
Approve category selection for Advertiser
Lead IntentMap strategy and prioritization
Lead team to execute IntentMap implementation according to strategy
Ensure execution of various campaign launch tasks and QA checks
Approve Go Live for initial launch to the publisher
Campaign Operate Phase:
Approve IntentMap optimization strategy
Oversee IntentMap standard and structural optimizations leading to campaign and partnership success
Drive innovative adhoc analysis, identify analytical opportunities to lead to campaign success
Monitor and forecast Advertiser and Partnership success
Prioritize IntentMap platform issues
Identify gaps in best practices and product features, participating in definition of product direction, interact with Product Management on feedback
Mentor and develop subordinate employees through regular 1:1s with clear agenda, action items and follow ups
Responsible for writing performance reviews for employees
Inspect and Adapt....identify areas where we can make improvements and deliver results that delight our customers
Know and defend opinion on search industry and emerging trends
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in a marketing or quantitative discipline
5+ years in a hands-on direct PPC/SEM campaign launch and optimization role
Experience managing 100s of thousands of keywords in Google and Bing with a monthly budget in excess of $500K
Prior experience influencing development of search engine marketing technologies is preferred
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
Exceptional Excel skills, proficiency with Powerpoint and Word
Excellent communication skills & an interest in working with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to multi-task while maintaining a strong attention to detail
Proactive with a passionate desire to learn
