Full Time Position
The Manager, SEO Strategy will be the primary Earned Media representative for client accounts. A qualified candidate will be a skilled SEO expert with subject matter expertise in one or more areas of Earned Media including web design, content development, marketing, PR & Social Media. As the Strategy Manager, this person is responsible for interpreting, prioritizing, scoping, creating and finally presenting all SEO/SMM deliverables. This position requires a candidate with website analysis and technical problem solving skills. The right candidate must be enthusiastic, pro-active, detail-oriented, and a hardworking professional able to work well in a team-oriented, client-focused environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage a book of business consisting of client websites typically ranging 10,000-50,000 pages in size.
Act as the client champion and ensure that client delivery needs and strategic priorities are met.
Interpret client requests, development cycles, online marketing philosophy and goals, target demographics then prioritize SEO/SMM projects.
Responsible for analyzing and recommending strategic activities, promotions and site improvements to meet client SEO/SMM objectives.
Produce and maintain a detailed client project plan through which all SEO/SMM activities are prioritized.
Participate as a member of a team of SEO/SMM subject matter experts who produce actionable client deliverables.
Client facing employee who will present all SEO/SMM deliverables to the client (in Power Point, Excel, etc.)
Provide industry thought leadership in the arena of SEO and SMM through blog posts and industry round-tables.
Responsible for special projects as assigned.
Management Responsibilities
Responsible for the management of direct reports and acts as a mentor for their career growth.
Skills/Qualifications
2+ years of in-house or agency SEO or PR/Marketing experience.
1+ years managing a fast-paced, quality-focused SEO or web development team.
Understanding of online analytics suites (i.e. Omniture and Google Analytics).
Outstanding leadership skills, including lead by example management style.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, MBA a plus.
Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Professional demeanor.
