Manager, Signal Operations ON24
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED A Manager, Signal Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operation of ON24?s Signal Operations Center. The facility is a production environment that?s staffed and operates 24x5 to support the signal acquisition and stream delivery activity for ON24?s webcast events. The environment is fast-paced and requires that multiple events be executed by multiple operators simultaneously in multiple locations and with a 99.9% success rate. The function is presently very stable and performs well, due primarily to the procedures currently in place and the disciplined execution of those procedures.
Manage all aspects of the signal processing & broadcast operation and enforce the policies & procedures and SOP of the webcasting signal operation.
Manage interaction with customers in routine and escalation situations.
Work any failures in the operational processes to establish root cause and develop plans for improvement.
Define and review new operational activities.
Schedule manpower needs and maintain the pool of full & part-time signal staff to accommodate anticipated workload. This includes recruitment, supervision, development, evaluation, and disciplinary action.
Manage and mentor staff to achieve personal and professional objectives.
Recommend and implement disaster recovery processes, business continuity and future scalability for Signal Operations.
On-call and after hours support of department and operation. (24x7)
Participate in the evolution and improvement of the signal operation.

3-5 years experience in a supervisory/managerial role in a 24x7 or 24x5 operation, preferably in Network Operations, Computer Operations, or Helpdesk Operations.
3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, mission-critical technical environment.
BS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Methodology and process development skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all audiences including customers and senior/executive level management.
Experience managing geographical dispersed teams is a plus.
Motivate and communicate clear and concise directions to others.
Demonstrated leadership, communication and administrative skills.
Focus on excellent record keeping as a method to aid in process improvement.
Detail oriented and an organized thinker able to work in stressful conditions.
Knowledge of information technology, encoding, broadcasting, signal acquisition, audio engineering, a/v production, troubleshooting and webcasting, is a plus.
Strong data analysis skills that identify metrics, baselines, trends, and systemic & operational problems
Integrity, Creativity, Intellectual Curiosity, High Standards, Persistence, and Achievement oriented.
Multilingual in French, German, or Chinese is a plus.
