Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for development and maintenance of Data Aggregation software to be deployed in highly available production environments
- Manages a software development team which will have members of varying levels of experience
- Mentors team members
- Leverages the experience of more seasoned team members to help increase the team's overall capability
- Ensures all team members have an clear career progression
- Partners with scrum masters and the Program Management team to ensure data aggregation deliveries are aligned to overall product engineering deliveries.
- Enhance software development processes and best practices to achieve efficient and predictable delivery and also ensures that team members adopt and embrace the processes.
- Be the subject matter expert for the responsible area
Skills
- Experienced in building software in Java/J2EE
- Good working knowledge of Databases/PLSQL and SQL
- Good working knowledge on JavaScript and HTML
- Good working knowledge of Source Control Management practices
- Demonstrated expertise software engineering processes
- Demonstrated management and people skills
- Demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration and leadership
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of personnel management: hiring, mentoring and performance management
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Overall experience of 7-9+ years.
- Minimum of 2-3+ years of experience in directly leading/managing a team of 5 to 10 software developers
- Minimum of 5-6+ years of experience as a software developer
