The position of Manager for Software Engineer (Embedded), is a hands-on technical
position, where the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a group of
software engineers developing embedded software/firmware utilizing C/C++ in a Linux
or ECOS environment, for Pixim image processors and sensors, to be incorporated into
Pixim products. Responsibilities may also include development/maintenance of Linux
based C and PERL application software for image sensor characterization.
The successful candidate will develop detailed design documentation, test plans, code
modules in C/C++ and PERL, and test/debug code behavior in an embedded system
environment currently based on ARM processors.
The preferred candidate will have a proven track record of developing DSP algorithms
for image processing, on successful silicon, for products that have shipped in volume
production in a management roll.
The following knowledge and experiences will be assessed for all candidates:
Programming (C, C++, assembler, PERL)
Linux / ECOS operating systems
RISC Microprocessors, preferably ARM
Imaging (cameras and/or scanners, compression)
Video Standards and devices (NTSC/PAL, LCD)
Pixel Processing Theory (filtering, gamma correction, white balance)
Sensor Technology (CCD and/or CMOS)
Knowledge of the following is of benefit:
Compression technology (JPEG, MJPEG, MPEG, H.264)
Team management
Qualification:
MSc, BSEE or equivalent in a relevant field
7+ years relevant experience
