Voltage Security is looking for a knowledgeable HR professional to oversee and manage all Human Resources functions for the company including recruiting and employment, benefits, compensation, and employee relations. Ensure that proper files and documentation are maintained and that the company is in compliance with applicable laws. As a one-person department, this position will play a critical role in the Company.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide leadership, direction, and partnership to management team. stablish and maintain partnerships with all staff through effective counsel on HR matters.
Review and suggest a new employee performance evaluation program.
Provide training and coaching to managers on people hiring skills, management skills and strategies (as appropriate) such as setting clear performance expectations, providing constructive feedback, recognizing positive results, taking correction action (where necessary) and linking compensation to performance.
Develop and maintain appropriate compensation guidelines for the company. Study market trends in compensation and perform job analyses using this market data.
Collaborate with management to build staff development and retention plans.
Consult with management to assess and identify training needs and employee development programs.
Generate policies and procedures that improve structure and process.
Develop and implement programs aimed at optimizing employee morale, communication, and teamwork.
Manage the employee benefits program for the company. This includes making sure all offerings are competitive and cost effective for the company and of value to employees.
Keep current regarding competitive HR practices, including compensation, benefits, and related issues.
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field
8-10 years experience as an HR Manager, preferably working in both large and small organizations
Proven success in coaching and advising managers, managing performance, resolving employee relations issues, recruiting staff, planning and delivering training programs, and administering benefits including leaves of absence.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and a desire to stay up-to-date on changes to such laws.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to remain professional, yet approachable, in an informal and creative work environment.
PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
Experience working with HR software and recruiting databases preferred.
