The Partnership Strategy team oversees and nurtures all of the relationships with our institutional and faculty partners, collaborating with our partners to 1) align institutional and Coursera objectives around shared mission, and 2) design and deliver high-quality courses that push the boundaries of pedagogical innovation. We are a team that understands the ecosystems in which our partners operate and can strategically position our partners for success through Coursera. We seek a highly- capable Manager of Strategic Initiatives to support the strategy of our team through initiatives that affect all of our partners and regions.
As part of the Partnerships Strategy Team, you will work closely with Regional Team Leads, Partnership Managers, the Director of Partnership Strategy, and the Chief Academic Strategist to flesh out and implement projects through strong work planning, data analysis, cross-team collaboration and coordination, event planning, and myriad other activities to reach our goals. Timelines will be tight, and a strategic approach essential. You will be a jack-of-all-trades, equally skilled in designing metrics and building strong relationships to execute without a hitch. This is a hands-on, do-whatever-it-takes role, critical to our team?s success.

You will be responsible for:
Taking projects from conception to implementation, and ensuring both buy-in and strong execution along the way; projects may include macro-economic analysis and modeling, planning global or regional events, or designing internal training sessions on key topics identified by our Regional Team Leads
Identifying, gathering, and presenting data to drive recommendations and decisions
Synthesizing data, information, and discussions from within the organization and across the company to inform and strengthen our work
Designing immediate and longer-term solutions to address issues
Producing (in coordination with various teams) high-quality deliverables for external and internal audiences, including marketing materials, reports, dashboards and metrics, and presentations
Building trust and credibility within our team and across other Coursera teams
Right-sizing efforts to appropriately match goals, with the ability to deliver quick and dirty results or carefully manage detailed projects that span many months
Designing scalable and customizable solutions that optimize for benefits across our partnerships and the performance of individual Partnership Managers

Ideal candidates will have:
A passion for our mission and a drive to achieve ambitious goals
Experience designing and managing complex projects, building models, performing analysis, and packaging and presenting results for a range of audiences
A track record of simultaneously managing multiple projects and timelines
Demonstrated experience influencing and motivating stakeholders through informal relationships
The ability to articulate and drive toward vision coupled with a high level of attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A passion for innovative and streamlined solutions that are scalable and not ?over-engineered;? experience with lean development principles desired, not required
Incredible perseverance and drive, manifested in a strong work ethic and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever needs to be done
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and to radiate positivity even while under pressure
6-10 years of experience
Fluency in a foreign language, experience working outside the U.S., or context for the higher education landscape
MBA or equivalent degree/skill set strongly preferred
