To develop strategic and operating plans to insure that the company has the appropriate resources to support current forecasted business and projected growth; to communicate resource plans to gain consensus from Sales and Outsourced Manufacturing; Supply Chain, and Manufacturing that respond to current and expanding markets; and to develop Manufacturing/Distribution models to determine and validate business strategies. Manage inventory control functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND INFLUENCE:
Leadership and development of the Supply Chain planning function
Leadership of the Inventory management process
Liaison with Manufacturing Organization
Leads the Supply Chain Optimization Initiative
Leads the start-up of the Supply Chain Planning Systems
o Global production planning policies.
o Quarterly / Annual production schedule with attendant materials requirements planning based on the sales forecast.
o System to support the production planning process with accurate, timely information.
o Accountability for the inventory strategy and plan.
o Deployment procedures.
o Capacity analysis and capacity plans.
o Strategic and operational planning models.
o Demand, supply and financial exceptions to meet business objectives.
o Product transfers between all facilities.
o Slow moving and obsolete inventory.
o Activities between Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Distribution.
o Raw material and packaging sourcing
o Liaison between Outsourced Manufacturing and Parts Distribution locations
o Communication of expectations
o Integration of finished goods inventories with the sales forecast
o Dollarization of activities.
o The development of technological advancement in Supply Chain Planning.
o Implementation of global policies at individual locations.
o Budget analysis related to capacity, production and inventory planning.
