The Systems Engineering Manager will provide leadership and guidance to a team of customer-focused technical sales professionals (SE?s) who provides high level pre-sales support and guidance to customers and collaborates with Territory Managers and partners to recommend and develop appropriate customer solution offerings.
Key Responsibilities and Desired Skills include:
BS or BA in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and industry recognized certifications preferred.
5 + years experience managing pre-sales Systems Engineering Teams specifically in the computer networking and security space.
Oversee pre-sales activities for sales opportunities to enterprise customers and partners. Including installations, troubleshooting and training of FireEye products.
Extensive hands on leadership experience and technical knowledge within the computer and network security space.
A history of partnering with Account Management to achieve 100% + quota attainment.
Work closely with customers in the design and implementation/integration of FireEye products.
Understand the customer?s business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform, including identification of improvement areas in network design.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills. This role requires an ability to understand and articulate both the business benefits (value proposition) and technical advantages of FireEye products and solutions.
Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies, including the following:
Linux, Network architecture/implementation/configuration experience and knowledge of packet flow/TCP/UDP traffic Firewall technologies, proxy technologies, anti-virus, spam and spyware solutions (Gateway and SaaS) Malware/security experience.
Understand and be conversant about FireEye competitors, their solutions, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Overnight travel throughout the region is required.
