In collaboration with the Director, Treasury and Collections, the Manager, Treasury and Collections leads the company?s Treasury and Collections efforts, including domestic and international cash management, cash reporting, accounts receivable management, relationship management with key customer accounts, procedure documentation, risk management, and relationship management with key bankers and insurance brokers. In addition, the Manager, Treasury and Collections will be responsible to design and implement procedures to improve cash flow.
Working with Director, Treasury and Collections, optimize the performance of the company?s treasury and collections efforts.
Conduct annual reviews of and provide periodic feedback to direct reports on an ongoing basis.
Drive the company?s treasury and collections efforts, including:
Administering domestic bank accounts and manage cash positions on a daily basis
Administering bank accounts and manage cash positions for international affiliates, to include funding, investing and disbursing in local currencies
Providing daily cash reporting and forecasting for domestic and international accounts
Providing monthly transaction reports and other reports as requested
Assisting in month end closing, netting credits, reconcile accounts receivable, prepare schedules, complete sales and accounts receivable reconciliations
Identifying proper approval for transactions and initiate domestic and international electronic funds transactions for settlement of company and company affiliated obligations
Managing appropriate general ledger entries for company cash transactions and maintaining proper internal controls of recorded transactions
Developing relations with key customer accounts in order to facilitate the timely collection of receivables and resolve issues related to delinquent payments
Providing weekly receivables reporting for domestic and international accounts
Documenting treasury and collections procedures and maintaining appropriate details in coordination with treasury and collections responsibilities and initiatives
Conducting credit reviews of new and current vendors as appropriate
Establish customer account files to facilitate the granting and management of credit
Maintaining employee and corporate credit card programs
Establishing and maintaining relations with banking partners and other financial institutions
Supporting audit inquiries as required
Assisting in maintenance of company?s risk mitigation strategies, including coordination of insurance renewals and interface with insurance agents and brokers
Maintaining the corporate credit policy
Providing for ongoing training and mentoring of credit and collections staff.
Assist and backup the Director, Treasury and Collections as needed in day to day management of the Treasury and Collections function.
Bachelors of Science or Arts Degree, with a major in finance, accounting or business required.
Five or more years of exposure to treasury, collections, credit analysis or related experience.
Experience conducting business outside the United States.
Familiarity with managing foreign currencies and foreign exchange rates.
Ability to communicate with and advise management at all levels on essential duties and responsibilities.
Strong communication skills allowing for the development of effective relationships with customers and financial partners (e.g., banks, insurers, etc.).
Must possess innovative problem solving skills and strong analytical abilities.
Must be highly productive, efficient and able to work well under pressure and when meeting deadlines.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks.
Must possess comprehensive PC skills, including PowerPoint and advanced proficiency in Excel.
Familiarity with Oracle and JD Edwards Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) databases and software a plus.
Familiarity with Cognos Business Intelligence and Financial Performance Management software a plus.
