DescriptionSummary
Responsible for the management and oversight of the User Interface of Appriss products with a goal to providing a high-quality user experience for the end-users of those products; works with the User Interface Design Team to establish and maintain best practices in User Interface development of telephony, e-mail, SMS and letter notifications in all languages supported by Appriss products; works to establish effective processes for the UID Team, border processes between Appriss teams, and effective methods of communicating with Appriss departments.
Minimum Requirements
Education
oBachelor?s Degree in communications, English, business, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience, or Characteristics
oExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
oA clear understanding of human-computer interaction.
oProven ability to grasp VUI and UI development best practices.
oA working knowledge of phonetics and linguistics as it applies to automated system.
Helpful / Preferred
oBackground in vocal coaching.
oManagement experience.
oAbility to perform data analysis related to IVR tuning and troubleshooting.
Functions and Responsibilities (?in addition to other duties as assigned)
1.Leads User Interface team in providing excellent service to Appriss departments and customer.
2.Sets User Interface team goals and objectives in line with overall company objectives and leads User Interface team in meeting those goals.
3.Manages and allocates teams resources; oversees and/or coordinates the flow of work into and out of the team; prioritizes and assigns work order based on ability and availability of team members and department goals.
4.Provides leadership to the User Interface team and mentors team members in VUI and UI design, development and delivery.
5.Evolves UI capabilities and functions through active coaching; continued adoption reinforcement and improvement of best practices.
6.Provides expertise in human-computer interaction, persona development, effective prompt design and call flow and VUI and UI design principles.
7.Oversees the management of UI contractors and outsourcing, including vocal talent for telephony user interfaces, language translators and language quality assurance contractors.
8.Oversees the development and continued improvement of UI internal processes and border processes, including overseeing the development, maintenance and troubleshooting.
9.Mentors UI team members managing project milestones within established guidelines and timelines and in effectively managing customer requests for UI and VUI development and enhancements.
10.Oversees the IU component of VINE, VPO, CHOICE and AlertXpress Product Releases.
