Responsibilities

• Manage a group of UX Designers, help them come together as a team and collaborate with each other, and bring their game to the next level


• Lead in recruiting your team and growing out the UX group as a whole


• Review designer's work and provide insightful feedback


• Scope and schedule upcoming projects to balance workload across your team


• Improve designers' performance and identify educational opportunities for your team


• Mentor team members on UX designs and professional development


• Build relationships with other managers and leaders in the organization


• Insure team members follow standard practices such as design thinking and scrum development

Skills/Requirements

• BA/BS or MS degree preferred in HCI, or related field


• At least 8 years professional experience as a UX design lead with at least 2 years managing UX designers


• Solid understanding of Web technologies such as HTML5, Flex and an appetite for learning more


• A passion for UX knowledge. You love all things mobile, social, and cutting edge


• Experience shepherding designs throughout an Agile development process


• Experience with wire-framing and planning for UX research


• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders; i.e. technical developers, business leaders, and users


• Functional knowledge of Human Resource and Financial Management is a plus
