Job Description:Responsibilities:
? Manage all aspects of the Private Placement Team, including resource deployment, personnel development, administrative and operational functions. Coordinate team?s work with portfolio managers, legal, middle office and accounting to ensure effective management and administration of all private placement investments.
? Identify, develop and underwrite potential investment opportunities for clients, including credit analysis, rating of issuers, transaction structure, and pricing. Lead review of investment opportunities underwritten by other analysts.
? Maintain and develop a network of relationships at investment banks and brokers to ensure an active pipeline of new transaction investment opportunities.
? Monitor and review existing client private placement investments. Identify watchlist candidates. Provide updates as appropriate for existing holdings. Participate in workout situations.
? Work with Portfolio Managers and Business Development Group to highlight the investment opportunities and rationale for private placements within a portfolio mandate. Assist with triage and review of private placement portfolios of prospective clients.
Qualifications:
? 10+ years of private placement underwriting experience
? MBA and/or CFA designation a plus
? Prior management experience a plus
