Balihoo is seeking a Managing Editor to develop, manage and optimize the content creation processes. This individual will ensure all Balihoo content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content (online, social media, email, point of purchase, mobile, video, print and in-person). You will work with various groups within the Balihoo team on content production and ensure that the content is compelling to the target audiences. The Managing Editor will create and distribute content that is relevant and compelling to all enterprise personas at all stages of the buying cycle.
Establish work flow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content. Document and maintain a universal style guide to ensure that all content is brand appropriate.
Publish content to all channels.
Leverage market data to develop content themes/topics and execute a plan to develop the assets that support a point of view and educate customers that leads to critical behavioral metrics.
Oversee the scheduling of all content and managing the content inventories and matrices.
Edit and maintain an SEO-optimized site rich with selected keywords.
Fully manage various projects, including managing internal and external teams to meet objectives and established schedules.
Develop measurement plans; measuring content marketing results on weekly, monthly and quarterly intervals.
Understand and use measurement to improve content marketing results.
Coach the internal and external team to produce content against the schedule.
Be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing and style.
Manage media monitoring systems as part of the measurement responsibility
Own the Social Media strategy, leveraging digital channels and social networks to enhance campaign performance and nurture current prospects.
Own execution and platform maintenance of Social Media (consistent content, social media monitoring, social media engagement on behalf of balihoo, coordination or additional Balihoo voices/participants).
Work with internal and external teams to drive traffic to editorial content via social media and SEO.
Bachelor?s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field
A minimum of 3 years managing editor experience in a media company or for a corporate brand
Expertise in all major business software applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite). Familiarity with salesforce.com and marketing automation software is a plus.
Hands-on marketing experience. Ability to write first-hand about direct mail, email marketing, branding, digital advertising.
Passion for creating and managing content marketing strategies and execution
Knowledge of how to leverage digital channels and social networks to enhance campaign performance and nurture current prospects
Desire to be a thought-leader
Broad content development experience across multiple mediums

Demonstrable experience with SEO and social media
