Responsibilities will include partnering with various departments (Game Production, Marketing, User Acquisition, Product, Game Design, etc) to assess what creative needs exist to support upcoming projects, lead, mentor and manage other talented production artists, evangelize the highest standards of visual fidelity, and seek out new ways to evolve our production process to take the very way we make games to the next level.
Lastly, the Managing Production Artist will set the highest standard in quality, contributing the very best production art to all projects they collaborate on.
About the Candidate
You know the ropes when it comes to exceptional digital/vector illustratioon, and are strongly familiar with what it takes to make world class games. Your artwork is fun and communicates a refreshing breadth of style and tone. You know how to 'show' rather than merely 'tell' when creating imagery that may have a theme (i.e. 'Happy Holidays!').
You are a pro at using the latest industry-leading creative software: Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop and Unity are all in your toolbox.
You enjoy collaborating with various teams (Game Production, Marketing, User Acquisition, Product, Game Design) to scope the design needs of their various projects, coordinate with other artists to execute these assets, actively participate in production, and drive those various projects through to completion. You may also partner and manage the quality of art produced by virtual/outsourced teams contributing to your projects.
You are experienced at making world?class social/casual/casino games.
You enjoy creatng fun and playful assets, as well as seeking feedback from your teammates to ?nd ways to create even more compelling visuals. With an organization that is very product-centric, the voice of all contributing artists will have high in?uence.
You are empowered to leverage analytcs, user testing and customer feedback provided to you and apply them intelligently into your design work.
You can easily switch from macro to micro: from understanding the strategic value and business dynamics of our product ecosystem, to ?nessing visual designs at a vector or pixel level within a single image.
You work best in a participatory, collaborative, iterative, team-based work environment. You inspire your peers through collaboration as well as direction, vision and planning of creative deliverables.
You are highly organized, agile and open to course-correction.
Digital illustration (vector and bitmapped), character design, basic animation & graphic design.
Strong knowledge of proper UI design design fundamentals, particularly focused on gameplay.
Strong knowledge of game production tools: Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop & Unity.
A passion for playing world class mobile, social and casual games a huge plus!
Experience in making world-class social/casual/casino games a must.
