Reporting to the CEO and serving as an integral member of the senior leadership team, the Managing Vice President of Finance, Operations & Technology will be responsible for the development of Eduventures financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organizations strategic goals. In addition to the strategic components, the Managing Vice President will be charged with developing and implementing more sophisticated policies and procedures both in the finance and general operational realms including Human Resources and Technology. Strategy, Vision and Leadership
? Advise the CEO and other key members of senior leadership on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters
? Serve as the management liaison to the board; effectively communicate and present critical financial matters at select board of directors and committee meetings
? Contribute to the development of Eduventures strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization
? Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CEO informed of all critical issues
? Oversee management budgeting and reporting to monitor progress, present operational metrics internally, and guide decision-making
? Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting
? Prepare and communicate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements
? Ensure that finance staff maintains financial records and systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
? Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process
? Ensure that Eduventures is adhering to the strategic plan, delivering status reports to the board
? Insures compliance with all legal requirements of various employee benefit and compensation programs and prepares and files required legal report
? Maintain documentation for all HR Operations procedures and internal controls
? Develop procedures to continually identify process improvements related to the HR Operations teams processes
? Helped build a world-class technology staff to support the Company's growth objectives and increasing focus on technological solutions for its customers
? Partner with senior leadership to set technology goals and priorities and manage the team to execute on them
? Advise senior leadership on new technologies and execute on company goals involving technology
? Identify ways technology can improve processes and increase efficiencies across the company
? Stay abreast of new technologies and research and recommend solutions that will increase efficiency based on knowledge of how Eduventures employees work and their needs
Experience and Skills:
? Bachelors Degree mandatory, a graduate degree is preferred
? CPA preferred
? Minimum 10 years experience in a senior management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organization
? Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
? Strong mentoring and coaching experience to a team
? Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask
? Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
? Self reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
? Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
? Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively
interface with senior leadership, Eduventures board of directors, and staff
? Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker
