Entry level position requiring an individual to function as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting the senior Manufacturing Engineers with the development, proofing and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. Hands on experience with production manufacturing processes for composite and/or metal parts are preferred. Experience with CATIA and 3D part interrogation along with understanding of customer specifications and their implementation preferred.
Support senior manufacturing engineers in day to day tasks.
Reviews engineering drawings and specifications to develop planning documents for part fabrication and assembly.
Prepares and releases work orders, and provides liaison support including facilitating authorized changes in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Applies lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methods to assure product(s) quality, cost and schedule requirements are met.
Perform other tasks as assigned by more senior level manufacturing engineers.
The successful candidate will have a minimum associate's degree in engineering or manufacturing technology, or a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
Preference given to individuals with aircraft/aerospace experience, specifically experience working with fabrication and assembly of composite structures.
Familiarity with CATIA V5, Visual Enterprise or other MRP systems.
Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Ability to work in a composite or metal manufacturing environment.
May be required to support extended or alternate shifts.
