Summary:
SAGE is currently ramping up production in its new electrochromic glass plant in Faribault, Minnesota and is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to create and manage processes in support of electronic controls order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will enjoy applying a diverse skill set to a variety of projects within a small team in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Create and manage a new assembly process for semi-custom electronic control panels
Design work cells and process layout
Implement and track key business metrics, using them to drive improvements
Create appropriate process documentation and work instructions
Train assembly technicians
Manage production planning, inventory, shipping processes, and documentation for all controls components including circuit card assemblies, enclosures, power supplies, sensors, and wire assemblies.
Support the product design team in design for manufacturability and transitioning new products to manufacturing
Develop, maintain and report on project plans, schedules and budgets
Requirements:
Minimum 4 year Engineering degree with a minimum 5 years? related experience
Minimum 3 years? experience manufacturing electronic products
Solid understanding in lean manufacturing and six-sigma methodology
Excellent verbal and written communication
Demonstrated project management leadership skills
Ability to work effectively with customers and suppliers
