Tilera has developed a range of products to enable multicore appliances that require high performance and low power in a cost effective platform. Combining a highly integrated, single chip processor with a line of acceleration cards and a complete suite of development tools require cutting edge manufacturing test and diagnostics methodologies. In this key role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the Tilera manufacturing process flows meet the customers? demanding mission critical reliability and quality expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Be the manufacturing interface to local and overseas CM?s.
Drive completion of all procedures and process documents for assembling and testing all Tilera products at Tilera and at all CM?s.
Identify manufacturing and test issues and bottlenecks and drive improvements in both.
Manage the following:
All builds and test at Contract Manufacturers (CMs) including ensuring correct technical content.
All shipping and receiving
Inventory control
Manufacturing issues/problems at CMs
Develop/maintain all manufacturing reports for Tilera and its CMs.
Manage production Test schedules to meet demand from planner.
Manage all product movement between Tilera and CMs including all packing lists.
Manage publishing all production yield and throughput reports and summaries.
Help drive down manufacturing and product costs.
Scale all test and burn-In capabilities as volume grows and ensure manufacturing headroom at Tileras CMs.
Owner of transfer of new products to CMs.
Owner of qualification and transfer of products to new Contract Manufacturers
Mange Tileras PLM tool for error free transfer of build and test files to CMs.
Develop and manage the development of scalable and automated assembly and test processes, test fixtures, and any other processes or equipment that needs to be implemented for the efficient production and testing of products and to insure the highest levels of quality can be achieved and maintained.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
5+ years working in the areas of manufacturing engineering and CM management.
BS in Electrical Engineering.
Experience with complex, multi-level BOMs.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Independent, hard-working, creative, focused organized, ability to work within a start-up team on multiple projects concurrently.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, test flows and new product introduction is desirable.
Computer skills to include: MS Word, Excel, Access & generic CAD.
Able to read and work from schematics and device data sheets
