Aurora Flight Sciences is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer/MRB Engineer, first shift, to join our growing team in our Bridgeport WV facility. This position requires an action and results oriented individual who can effectively achieve demanding development and production goals. This individual must also be able to interact and communicate at all levels of the organization.
Job Qualifications (basic job description):
Review, analyze, provide disposition, and corrective action suggestions for discrepant conditions occurring during production for all AWV programs
Specific Responsibilities:
Review, and analyze nonconforming conditions and provide disposition for the non-conformances. Coordinate with Engineering and Production departments to determine cause of nonconformance and determine corrective actions required to eliminate recurrence of the nonconformance. Provide training as required to implement corrective actions for all AWV programs.
Provide Aurora liaison engineering support to Customers? Engineering and Quality departments, and any government agencies (i.e. DCMA) as necessary.
Act as member of the Corrective Action Board.
Provide and retain complete documentation of non-conformances for trending and historical references.
Service the development, production and delivery of Aerostructure components and assemblies. Create and maintain Engineering masters and operations work orders through an electronic ERP System (Visual). Create part inspection check lists, first article inspections, manufacturing planning documents, inspection sheets, request for change inquiries, purchase orders, inspection drawings, prepare bid packages for the suppliers/vendors, prepare basis of estimates and quotes in support of business proposals, provide support to the production floor with drawing and technical specifications interpretations.
Minimum Requirements (education and experience):
Bachelor?s Degree or 5-10 years? experience in aircraft parts manufacturing and assembly.
Knowledge of composite technology, layup, cure, trim, and assembly, plus composite repair experience.
Basic knowledge of advanced inspection media and techniques (Faro Arm, Laser Tracker, etc.)
Knowledge of machining and metals processing.
Knowledge MS Office applications required
Knowledge of solid modeling software required. Catia V5 preferred.
MUST be a US Person or Permanent Resident Green Card Holder.
