Aerohive Networks, the leader in WIFI Controller less WIFI solutions is seeking a Manufacturing NPI and Quality Engineer (ME). The ME will work closely with development engineering and other cross functional groups to drive customer failures to Root Cause Analysis, improve testing methodologies to be implemented in production environments, and help ODM suppliers improve the Quality of their production capabilities processes and overall product Quality. The ME will participate with R&D and Operations in testing, developing, and enhancing debug processes and document control, as well as to lead process innovations to enhance existing ODM supplied products. The ME will be responsible to work with the ODM?s to improve on all Manufacturing NPI Quality issues uncovered. The ME will be responsible for working with the ODM?s to improve Manufacturing NPI Test plans that include setting production quality and cost goals for testing, DFM & DFT guidelines, creating and executing IQC test plans and developing test station solutions. The ideal candidate will interact with design engineers to provide inputs to DFM & DFT, initiate BOM generation and cost analysis, as well as provide input on strategic component selection.
Responsible for all phases of manufacturing NPI/Quality testing methods and manufacturing quality of products at both Aerohive and ODM Partners.
Design and Implement test programs and processes for incoming products at all of Aerohive 3PL partners.
Lead the analysis, root cause, and drive solutions to products coming back from customers.
Drive a closed loop improvement process for all Field Issues found
Modify/Define enhanced scripts for testing of Aerohive products both at Aerohive and ODM partners.
Create and monitor Outgoing Quality Control/Incoming Quality Control processes for AH products to ensure high level of Quality before delivering products to final customers
Direct interface to ODM partners on New Product Introduction, firmware releases, sustaining engineering.
Use statistical analysis methods to understand top product failures and implement corrective actions with ODM partners
Support manufacturing NPI with design work to upgrade existing designs to reduce cost and improve product quality and manufacturability.
Plan and execute the transition of software implementation projects into production
Perform formal and timely manufacturability review (DFM/DFT) on all new products
B.S. Degree in Electrical or Manufacturing NPI Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years test experience with a high degree of skill in network product testing
Knowledge and experience with Test tools for test automation: LabView, or equivalent to implement Incoming Functional Test in products
Minimum 3 years working with Asian ODM partners
Previous experience in RMA failure analysis capacity required
Experience working in a large scale testing environment
Knowledge of networking products, preferable WIFI/RF products
Travel to Asia required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Functional experience working in product development teams with R & D
Familiar with Hardware Diagnostic Testing
Strong analytical problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated ability to lead a project team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to improve the performance and manufacturing NPI process for access points a plus.
Experience in wireless and/or switch products a plus
Experience in maintenance/development of RMA data base required
Ability to troubleshoot products to a module level
Experienced in ECO processes
