We have an immediate opening for a mid-level Manufacturing Engineer to join our team! The Manufacturing Engineer will design, develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling and fixtures in a regulated medical device environment, in order to meet daily production schedules and project needs while enhancing productivity and product quality.
Primary responsibilities include:
Define, develop and document test, manufacturing and quality processes and tooling and generating associated documentation to facilitate manufacturing of products in accordance with FDA, QSR, ISO and MDD requirements and company policy.
Establish processes and related equipment and fixtures.
Establish and conduct process validations, and contribute to the process portion of project schedules.
May provide direction for, supervise and/or train Manufacturing or Production personnel.
Contributes towards ensuring projects adhere to established Design Control system.
Responsible for solving components or processes issues while sustaining process flow and throughput.
Education Requirements: BSME degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Experience Requirements: BS Engineering and a minimum of 5 years? experience in manufacturing engineering, or equivalent; medical device engineering backgroundrequired. A thorough working knowledge of computer aided design, preferably Solidworks. Must have prior experience in the development of fixturing for test and manufacturing. Machining experience is required, preferably using CNC machine shop equipment.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated ability to contribute toward technical project(s) and complete on time, with minimal errors. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Previous experience working in Chemical Lab is highly desired, as this will be required of the job.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to use computer and machine shop equipment. May be required to stand or sit for extended periods of time. The ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instruction. May be required to lift up to 20 pounds unaided. May be exposed to hazardous equipment, chemicals, high voltage electricity, lathes, mills and other machinery. Will be required to wear personal protective equipment in labs and machine shop. May be exposed to loud noise caused by machinery.
