Manufacturing Engineer Acumentrics
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Coordinate project milestones to accomplish pilot and MFG release of products.
Create engineering cable and die cut drawings
Improve manufacturing processes
Create, develop and implement new equipment and/or processes
Create and update manufacturing related documentation
Provide engineering support by troubleshooting problems, monitoring and testing new methods and procedures to ensure system efficiencies.
Provide production support
Design manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters. Provide cost estimates as required.
Measure variances to standards, identify out of control variances, investigate reasons and formulate solutions.
Works closely with the Engineering to provide mechanical design modifications / solutions to customer needs.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work on special projects as requested by Management
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate (verbally, or in writing)
Ability to work hands on
Proficient with the use of the latest version of MS Office products
Knowledge of mechanical principles, metal properties and the application of mathematics to production machinery and tooling.
Knowledge concerning modern fabrication, assembly techniques and machine shop practices.
Ability to produce engineering drawings
Thorough knowledge of Corel (Cable drawing package)
Thorough knowledge of Solidworks
Skills relating to value stream mapping, DFA (Design for Assembly), DFM (Design for MFG), FOD (Foreign Object Debris), IPC 610, TQM, and Lean MFG.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of experience and advanced engineering education required.
4 year degree in technical discipline
Knowledge of ERP software is a plus.
