Description:
This position is on the ?D? Shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday from 6:00pm-6:00am.
Responsibilities:
?Analyze the performance of the equipment (MTBF, uptime, MTTR, etc.) to determine what needs to be improved to increase the throughput and the yield.
?Analyze the performance of each shift to determine what shift needs improvement and what needs to be done to improve that shift.
?Analyze the performance of the maintenance technicians to determine what they are doing well and how we can proliferate it and what needs to be improved to decrease their maintenance times and troubleshooting times.
?Help the maintenance technicians bring a tool back up to production when they have a problem they need to escalate to you when they cannot resolve it.
?Analyze the maintenance procedures so that you can rewrite them to improve their understanding, the ability of the techs to follow them and to optimize them for better tool performance.
?Define the facilities requirements for the systems in your area of responsibility.
?Write and maintain the maintenance procedures and specifications when the equipment vendors or the internal tool engineering teams have not done so.
?Create the training materials and train the maintenance technicians to improve their performance.
?Create the spare parts lists and determine the correct stocking levels to maximize the service level and the inventory turns.
?Work with the suppliers and the materials program mangers to arrange for consignment inventory, training, documentation and service.
?Work with the safety department to ensure the tools and the maintenance techs in your area adhere to the safety protocols and have the necessary training, documentation, personal protective equipment and tooling.
?Determine the necessary tooling and measurement equipment to properly maintain the equipment in your area of responsibility.
?Establish equipment reliability standards, measurements and reports.
?Produce cost optimization of production sequence on assigned equipment.
?Drive continuous improvement programs to improve equipment process and manufacturing performance.
Required Experience:
?5+ years experience in a high volume manufacturing environment as an Equipment or Maintenance Engineer.
?Strong ?hands-on? capability in the installation and deployment into manufacturing of production equipment.
?Successful demonstration in providing solid engineering solutions and solving challenging equipment problems in a high volume manufacturing environment.
?Strong team player in a cross functional environment.
?Results oriented.
?Knowledge of Lean manufacturing to insure continuous improvements are made to assigned equipment.
?Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
?Willing to take on projects to help the company succeed in goals.
?Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferable:
?Experience with MS Project, MS Visio, AutoCAD, Oracle
Required Education:
Mechanical or Process Engineering BS degree preferred or equivalent experience.
