The Manufacturing Group Leader position will lead day to day direction of a shift as well as facilitate the execution of corporate goals and objectives. This position will engage and mentor team members to drive manufacturing results.
Leads day-to-day direction, schedule requirements, and management of Rx manufacturing shift, including Supervisors, Manufacturing Technicians, Crew Leaders and other manufacturing personnel.
Leads day-to-day direction and management of support functions which may include such tasks as safety, calibration, continuous improvement, training, maintenance and/or housekeeping for a specific shift.
Facilitates a shift's regulatory compliance and safety tasks while assuring compliance with FDA/DEA requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Provides technical and professional mentoring to staff to maintaining operational procedures, solve manufacturing problems, and implement technical requirements.
Helps apply lean manufacturing principles and enables others to efficiently produce material requirements; identifies, justifies, and implements improvements to process and equipment.
Enables others to facilitate change to stay competitive in our manufacturing processes and design systems that validate processes for the entire shift. Ensures that staff is responsive to continuous design changes and remains on course for 100% adherence to delivery schedule.
Participates in quality investigations and authors deviation reports, CAPAs, and CIPs.
Accountable for cost effectiveness of assigned work centers.
Direct supervision of Shift Leaders and Production Staff.
Implements and assures effectiveness of training program within assigned work centers and assigned shift.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Scientific or other similar field required.
Must have at least 5 years of experience in a cGMP, Pharmaceutical, and/or Manufacturing Setting.
Lean / Six Sigma experience preferred.
Project Management and/or Change Management preferred.
