Aurora Flight Sciences is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our growing team in Columbus, Mississippi. This position requires an action and results oriented individual who can effectively achieve demanding development and production goals. This individual must also be able to interact and communicate at all levels of the organization.
Job Qualifications (basic job description):
Team builder with excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to maintain the already great in-house working atmosphere of our company. Reporting to the General Manager and work closely with Program Management, Purchasing and Engineering.
Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, and cycle and production costs.
Manages and oversees the work of several manufacturing supervisors
Establishes and maintains stringent production and quality control standards to meet and exceed AS9100 standards, develops an annual budget and controls costs on a daily and monthly basis and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
Establishes, maintains and monitors standard costs for both material and labor working closely with the members of finance.
Provides guidance and input into the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs. Is overall responsible for maintaining the building, equipment and facility.
Is responsible for conducting ongoing and recurrent training throughout the year to maintain our AS9100 standards. Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
Minimum Requirements (education and experience):
Manufacturing Manager with at least 5-7 yrs of relevant work experience
Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Must have experience in an Aerospace component manufacturing environment.
Experience with Composites Materials.
Must be a US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder.
Be able to work in a manufacturing environment and lift 40 pounds.
